2 Cor 13:14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
These words are used as a benediction in the church I attend, and many others. This is a prayer and a blessing from each of the Members of the Trinity: The grace of Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship (or communion, in older translations) of the Holy Spirit. And it is to all of us. Very inclusive.
The love of God is eternal, His love lasts for ever and never dies.
The grace of Christ, His loving kindness: He died for us, that we might be forgiven, and saved.
The fellowship of the Holy Spirit: He lives in us. He gives us His gifts.
With this prayer, this blessing, we are able to move out into the world to show people what God has done for us, and to spread this blessing amongst those we meet.
To give them God’s love, show them the grace of Christ, and let them experience the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.
That is our duty. I love that duty.
